First Capital EMS. Community Centered, Community Driven!

First Capital EMS is the result of a merger between West York Ambulance, York Regional EMS, and the EMS assets of Grantley Fire Company. The merger was completed and took effect in February 2022

Through grant funding provided by the York County Community Foundation, First Capital EMS has been able to combine these three non-profit EMS organizations into the newly formed entity that improves services to our York community. This effort will contribute to a more sustainable EMS service with a wider range of highly-skilled Paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians to assist with the region’s changing emergency needs.

Together to serve you!

This collaboration allows these organizations to plan for the future while placing the emergency medical needs of the York community first. This cooperative effort will optimize service, help contain expenses and create new employment opportunities.

As mission-driven organizations, focused on the well-being of our neighbors, we will continue to be community-centric with our primary focus on our patients and the ability to create a sustainable and affordable service for those that we serve.
